Anachronists, the comic, is officially OVER. Note, OVER. It was a really fun project which I had a lot of fun making but due to plenty of reasons I decided to wrap it up and shut it down. Feel free to go through the archives at your leisure but know that there will not be any new strips, unless I suddenly feel divinely inspired to write a one-shot comic.

So cheers, thank you for stopping by and reading. If you’re looking for something else of mine to read why not go to www.anachronists.com and check out my other projects?

I tired as hard as I could, but I simply couldn’t finish the final Anachronists strip before I have to leave on my scheduled vacation. It mostly had to do with the fact that I didn’t want to rush it, I wanted to make it something really special (and long) for all of you to enjoy.

So, unfortunately, the final strip will go up Monday, July 28th when I return and complete it instead of this Wednesday like I had planned. I wanna end this thing on a good note, and I hope you’ll all join me when I do close this chapter of my life.

I thought I would make up for the lack of backgrounds in the last couple of strips by overloading this one. Remind me never, ever, to draw piles of books again willingly.

Also, the number of today’s comic was actually completely unintentional. Funny how these things work out.

That is to say, the fan-service is in fact not impending, but the vacation is.

Regardless, I will have limited to no access to my site in the next two weeks so the chances of a new strip going up are considerably slim. I’ll try my best under the circumstances, but don’t expect a new strip until the 4th of July. (Of course, I could always pleasantly surprise you.)

Now, while I was lamenting my absence, I suddenly though of putting up some sort of fan-service of the Anachronists hanging out at the beach to have at least something to come back to the site for. But as I was about to pick up the stylus and start sketching, I suddenly felt very… out of place doing it. That’s when I realized that I have no idealized connection with my characters. Just like I wouldn’t drawing my real friends splashing around on the beach, I feel very off put by drawing Minerva or Reka in a swimsuit. To me, these are people I’m inexplicably connected to, and deteriorating them to this other level, to characters which I can just dump into any situation just because I made them, is not something I’m at all happy with. So sorry guys, there very well might never be any sort of fan-service coming out to you guys, no matter how much I appreciate the eyeballs and nice comments I get from you. (Reading eyeballs, not severed eyeballs.)

I just felt like this was something I should get off my chest and out to you guys because I felt really strongly about it. Cheers, and I hope you’re enjoying the final plot line.

Guess what guys? This is the last Anachronists plot-line.

That’s right, after this, I’m going to permanently wrap up this webcomic to move on to other, more focused projects. (Two to be exact. One is a quasi-off-shoot from Anachronists, the other is an entirely new project.)

The entire time I’ve been working on Anachronists I’ve felt a bit rushed, often times writing the strips as I’m about to compose the rest of the comic, and I’ve never truly been content with the quality that came out of those strips. So, I’m wrapping it up. I’ll miss my characters, I’ll miss the flow of the comic, but I feel like now is a good point for them to settle down as it were. Don’t worry though, the rest of this plot is going to blow your mind, or at least, so I hope. I’m planning to follow the Battlestar philosophy, for all will be revealed, and I hope you’ll stick around for this final leap in time.
